ĀŅĀ×ŗ£½Ē recognizes 2020 Honorary Fellows and Distinguished Service Award recipient
On Jan. 21, ĀŅĀ×ŗ£½Ē inducted five notable residents from across the region as Honorary Fellows and recognized a long-time employee in a virtual ceremony.
Pamela and Wilfred āGrouseā Barnes, Robert Foord, Louis Thomas and Don Turri were celebrated by the College as its 2020 Honorary Fellows. Read more about the Honorary Fellows.
Dr. Jayne Brooks received the Distinguished Service Award in honour of her 30-plus year career at the College, during which she served as the first Dean of the Okanagan School of Business and Director of Learning and Teaching. In addition to addresses from the honorees, attendees had a chance to hear from ĀŅĀ×ŗ£½Ē Board of Governors Chair Gloria Morgan, President Jim Hamilton, Provost and Vice President Academic Dr. Andrew Hay, who served as emcee for the event, and Education Council Chair Dr. Chris Newitt.
In his address, President Hamilton noted: āAs I look over the names of our honourees, and as I reflect on your accomplishments, I am struck by how transformative your impact on others has been. Please accept the Collegeās admiration and gratitude for the roles youāve played, the contributions youāve made, and the examples youāve set as leaders in our communities.ā
