ā€œIt gives me a great deal of pleasure to recognize Lynda Wilson for her outstanding commitment to ĀŅĀ×ŗ£½Ē and the people of the Shuswap-Revelstoke region,ā€ said ĀŅĀ×ŗ£½Ē president Jim Hamilton. ā€œShe was a tremendous colleague, leader and a great friend. This award is given out with the utmost care to those who exemplify ĀŅĀ×ŗ£½Ēā€™s mission statement and Lynda is an extremely deserving recipient.ā€

The Distinguished Service Award will be presented alongside ĀŅĀ×ŗ£½Ēā€™s 2010 Honorary Fellow awards. Wilson will receive her award at the morning ceremony on June 5, during which time Peter Haubrich, founder and president of the Okanagan Research and Innovation Centre, will receive his Honorary Fellow distinction.
